Rinnai

Module used to integrate with a Rinnai AC unit. The iZone AC unit module (C325#) connects to the CPU module (C225) to enable communication with a ducted AC unit.

Connection

CN40 Connection

• Polarity is critical.
• Connect a 2-core + earth twisted-pair control cable from the C225 / C325R to the CN40 port on the fan coil unit.
• Cable supplied by iZone: CACUCM15

Notes

⚠️ Important Safety Notice

DO NOT connect the AC unit control cable to the HA/HB (CN45) terminal on the indoor board unless the unit is specifically listed as compatible for HA/HB connection.

Incorrect connection will result in iZone CPU damage.

Connection

HA/HB Connection (CN45)

• Polarity is not critical.
• A 2-core twisted pair control cable must be connected from the C225 / C325R2 controller to the HA/HB (CN45) port on the fan coil unit.
• Cable supplied by iZone: CACUCM15
• Connect the AC unit communication cable from the fan coil unit to the C225 as indicated.

Connection

CN99 connection

• Polarity is critical.
• Connect a 2-core + earth twisted-pair control cable to the C225 / C325R
• Attach 3-pin to 4-pin loom adaptor to the cable.
• Connect cable to CN99 port on the fan coil unit.
• Cable supplied by iZone: CACUCM15

CN9 Connection

• Polarity is critical.
• Connect a 2-core + earth twisted-pair control cable to the C225 / C325R
• Connect cable to CN9 port on the fan coil unit.
• Cable supplied by iZone: CACUCM15

Notes

1. Power Down the System
   1. Turn off the power to both the indoor and outdoor units.
2. Clear Indoor Unit Addresses
   1. On the outdoor unit control board, locate the S6 DIP switch.
   
   2. Move DIP switch 1 on S6 to the ON position to clear the indoor unit addressing.
   
3. Power Cycle the Units
   1. Wait 5 minutes.
   2. Turn the power back on to both the indoor and outdoor units.
   3. Wait another 5 minutes, then turn both units off again.
4. Return to Automatic Addressing
   1. On the oudoor unit control board, locate the same S6 DIP switch
   
   2. Move DIP switch 1 on S6 to the OPPOSITE position (the position opposite of ON).
   
5. Reconnect the iZone system to the indoor unit.
6. Restore Power
   1. Turn the power back on to both indoor and outdoor units and wait 5 minutes.
   2. You can now operate the AC system through iZone.
