Integrated home appliances​

Use a Relay Module (CACR) to control general home appliances by switching their power on or off. Because it connects to mains (240VAC) wiring, the relay module must be installed by a licensed electrician to ensure safe and compliant operation. A Smart Hub (COCBH) is required to control the module. Examples of appliances that can be controlled:

  • Exhaust fans (bathroom, laundry)
  • Ceiling fans (on/off only, not speed control)
  • Ventilation systems
  • Pool pumps
  • Electric heaters (on/off only)
  • Underfloor heating
  • Towel rails

Appliances with general plug​

A Smart Plug (CGPO) is a plug in device that allows you to turn appliances on or off remotely using an app, automation system, or schedule. It sits between the wall socket and your appliance, controlling the power supply to that device. When the smart plug switches on, the appliance receives power and operates as normal; when off, power is cut completely. Smart plugs are ideal for devices with a simple on/off function. A Smart Hub (COCBH) is required to control the module. Examples of appliances that can be controlled:

  • Lamps and table lights
  • TVs and entertainment units
  • Phone/tablet chargers
  • Portable heaters
  • Fans (on/off control)
  • Humidifiers / dehumidifiers
  • Christmas lights
  • Garden lighting transformers
  • Water features

Smart Plug

Dry contact / low voltage triggers​

A Voltage Free Contact Module (CVFC) is a device that allows iZone to remotely control or trigger other systems using a dry contact (no voltage output). Instead of supplying power, the module simply opens or closes a circuit, just like pressing a switch or push button. This makes it ideal for controlling equipment that requires a signal input rather than direct power, such as garage doors, gate motors, HVAC enable terminals or alarm systems.

Because the contact is electrically isolated, it can safely interface with both low‑voltage and higher‑voltage control circuits, providing flexible and reliable integration into a smart home system. A Smart Hub (COCBH) is required to control the module.
