Overview
The CACRSW is a hard-wired relay module that is installed between an existing wall switch and permanently connected lighting. It allows the connected lights to be controlled from the existing wall switch or through the Nova user interface when paired with a Smart Hub (COCBH). Unlike the Dimmer switch module (CACDSW), the CACRSW provides on/off control only and does not support dimming.
Installation Guides
This product must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000.
Physical Installation
- Isolate the mains power before starting any work.
- Wire the CACRSW in-line with the existing wall switch circuit as shown on the module casing.
- Connect the wall switch LED (if fitted) to the appropriate terminal on the module.
- Mount the module in a suitable indoor location, such as the roof space.
- Ensure the antenna is tightened and pointing vertically upwards.
- Restore power and test the operation using the existing wall switch.
Pairing with Nova
- Ensure the relay module is powered on.
- Press the Pair button on the relay module.
- From the Nova user interface, navigate to Menu → Devices → Add Device (+) → Lights → Dimmer Light Module.
- Press Pair.
- The blue LED beside the pair button will flash to indicate the relay module is pairing.
- Rename the relay module to something meaningful, such as Kitchen Lights or Outdoor Lights, to make it easier to identify within Nova.

Controlling the Relay Module
- From the Nova home screen, select Categories.
- Select Lights.
- Select the light relay module you wish to control.
- From this page you can:
- Turn the connected load on or off.
- View the current operating status.
Pinning the Relay Module
For quicker access, a relay module can be pinned to the Nova home screen.
- Open Categories → Lights.
- Select the light relay module you want to pin.
- Press the Pin icon.
- The relay module will now appear on the Nova home screen for quick access.
