Overview

The CSW is a wired temperature sensor for zone based climate control. Mounted on the wall in each zone, it measures room temperature and allows the zone to be turned on or off by pressing the button. Temperature readings are communicated to the CPU Module (C225) via cable every 60 seconds, ensuring accurate and responsive climate management. The CSW requires a Wired Sensor Module (CWSM) to connect the wired sensors to the iZone system. Available in white (CSW), black (CSB) and ocean mist (CSO). A wireless battery operated version of this sensor is also available called a Wireless Temperature Sensor (CRFSW).

Sensor placement within the home

The length of the connection cable (max 35m) is the only restriction in terms of placement around the home.

Sensor placement within the zone

Choose a location that accurately represents the average temperature of the room. Avoid installing the sensor:

• Directly underneath an air outlet or vent
• In direct sunlight
• Near heat-generating appliances
• On external walls exposed to temperature extremes

For best results, install the sensor on an internal wall within the room's natural airflow path. A common and convenient location is near the room entrance, alongside a wall switch at approximately waist height.

Wiring instructions

• Use a 1m CAT5 Cable (CFC1) to connect the iZone Net port on the CPU Module (C225) with the iZone Net port on the Wired Sensor Module (CSWM)
• The wired connection is via an RJ12 connector. The RJ12 connector recesses into the wall cavity and the hole must be large enough to accommodate the RJ12 connector. Provide insulation around the in the hole to prevent cold air inside the wall cavity from adversely influencing the sensor.
