Access control

Garage door

Most modern garage door motors are manufactured with a built-in voltage free connection on one of the input terminals. When this terminal is pulsed (i.e. the circuit is closed for one to two seconds), the garage door will open to its set limits. When the terminal is pulsed again, the garage door will close.

iZone offers two options to pulse the input terminal of a garage door: a plug and play solution using the Smart Plug (CGPO), or a more integrated solution using the Voltage Free Contact Module (CVFC). Both options connect directly to the input terminal of the garage door motor. Each kit includes a wireless battery operated Reed Switch (CRS), which provides real-time status of the garage door (open or closed). A Smart Hub (COCBH) is required to enable garage door control.

Plug and play solution

The Plug and play solution is available as the garage door kit, part number CGDK. This kit includes a garage door loom, a Smart Plug (CGPO), and a wireless Reed Switch (CRS).

Integrated solution

The integrated solution is available as the garage door kit (part number CGDK2), which includes a Voltage Free Contact Module (CVFC) and a wireless Reed Switch (CRS). This kit must be installed by a licensed electrician.

Centurion garage door

The iZone system has native integration with Centurion garage door motors. In this case, only the Smart Hub (COCBH) is required. Users can link the garage door to the iZone system by following the standard integration steps provided in the setup guide.

Door strike

The Voltage Free Contact Module (CVFC) can be used to control door strikes by providing a momentary contact to unlock the door. This allows integration of access control systems with the iZone platform for secure and remote operation.
