Overview

The CACR is a hard-wired mains relay module for switching non-dimmable loads such as lighting, exhaust fans, pool pumps and other electrical devices. It communicates using 433 MHz RF and is controlled through the Nova user interface when paired with a Smart Hub (COCBH).

Installation Guides

This product must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000.

Physical Installation

1. Isolate the mains power before starting any work.
2. Remove the relay module from its packaging.
3. Remove the terminal cover to expose the wiring terminals.
4. Mount the relay module in a suitable indoor location, such as the roof space, using the mounting points provided.
5. Cut the circuit to the device being controlled and terminate the wiring as shown on the module casing.
6. Use the supplied cable ties to secure the wiring.
7. Ensure the antenna is tightened and pointing vertically upwards.
8. Restore power and test the relay using the manual On/Off button.

Pairing with Nova

1. Ensure the relay module is powered on.
2. Press the Pair button on the relay module.
3. From the Nova user interface, navigate to Menu → Devices → Add Device (+) → Smart Power → Relay.
4. Press Pair.
5. The blue LED beside the pair button will flash to indicate the relay module is pairing.
6. Rename the relay module to something meaningful, such as Pool Pump, Outdoor Lights, or Bathroom Exhaust, to make it easier to identify within Nova.

Controlling the Relay Module

1. From the Nova home screen, select Menu -> Categories.
2. Select Smart Power.
3. Select the relay module you wish to control.
4. From this page you can:
   • Turn the relay on or off.
   • View the current operating status.

Pinning the Relay Module

For quicker access, a relay module can be pinned to the Nova home screen.

1. Open Menu -> Categories -> Smart Power.
2. Select the relay module you want to pin.
3. Press the Pin icon.
4. The relay module will now appear on the Nova home screen for quick access.
