Overview

The CVFC is a hard-wired voltage free contact (dry contact) module that provides a relay output for compatible devices. It communicates using 433 MHz RF and can be configured as a door strike controller through the Nova user interface when paired with a Smart Hub (COCBH).

Installation Guides

Physical Installation

This product must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000.

1. Isolate the mains power before starting any work.
2. Remove the CVFC module from its packaging.
3. Connect the voltage free output wiring to the CN1 and CN2 terminals.
4. Connect the 240VAC mains supply as shown on the module casing.
5. Connect the door strike and power supply in accordance with the door strike manufacturer's instructions.
6. Mount the module in a suitable indoor location.
7. Ensure the antenna is tightened and pointing vertically upwards.
8. Restore power and test the output using the manual On/Off button.

Pairing with Nova

1. Ensure the CVFC module is powered on.
2. Press the Pair button on the module.
3. From the Nova user interface, navigate to Menu → Devices → Add Device (+) → Door Locks → iZone Door Strike.
4. Press Pair.
5. The blue LED beside the pair button will flash rapidly while the module pairs.
6. Rename the module to something meaningful, such as Front Door Strike.
7. In the device settings, change the device type to Door Strike and configure the required pulse length.

Controlling the Door Strike

1. From the Nova home screen, select Categories.
2. Select Door Locks.
3. Select the door strike you wish to control.
4. From this page you can:
   • Activate the door strike.
   • View the current device status.

Pinning the Door Strike

For quicker access, a door strike can be pinned to the Nova home screen.

1. Open Categories → Door Locks.
2. Select the door strike you want to pin.
3. Press the Pin icon.
4. The door strike will now appear on the Nova home screen for quick access.
