Installation Guides

Physical Installation

This product must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000.

  1. Install the batteries into the power monitoring device (CPMD).
  2. Pair the CPMD before installing the CT sensor clamps.
  3. Install the CT sensor clamps onto the correct active conductors for the circuits being monitored.
  4. Ensure each CT clamp is fully closed and locked into place.
  5. Route the CT cables through a suitable grommet into the switchboard.
  6. If the switchboard is outdoors, ensure the cable entry is weatherproof.
  7. Mount the CPMD outside of the switchboard. Do not install it inside a steel switchboard or cabinet, as this will prevent RF communication.

Pairing with Nova

  1. Install the two AA batteries into the CPMD.
  2. Press the Pair button on the CPMD.
  3. From the Nova user interface, navigate to Menu → Devices → Add Device (+) → Power Monitor -> Power Monitor Device.
  4. Press Pair.
  5. The blue LED will flash rapidly to indicate the CPMD is pairing.
  6. Once paired, rename the device to something meaningful, such as Main Supply, Air Conditioner, or Solar, to make it easier to identify within Nova.
