Overview
The CL5E27 is a smart LED bulb with an E27 Edison screw fitting. It provides adjustable brightness and colour control through the Nova user interface when paired with a Smart Hub (COCBH).
Installation Guides
Physical Installation
- Remove the smart bulb from its packaging.
- Install the bulb into a standard E27 Edison screw light fitting.
- Ensure the lighting circuit remains permanently powered.
- Do not install the bulb on a circuit controlled by a conventional wall dimmer.
- Turn the light on. If the bulb has not previously been paired, it will begin flashing red to indicate it is ready for pairing.
Pairing with Nova
- Ensure the smart bulb is powered on and flashing red.
- From the Nova user interface, navigate to Menu → Devices → Add Device (+) → Lights → RGB Light.
- Confirm the light is flashing red by selecting the checkbox.
- Press Pair.
- Once successfully paired, the bulb will change from flashing red to green.
- Rename the bulb to something meaningful, such as Bedroom Lamp or Desk Lamp, to make it easier to identify within Nova.

Controlling the Smart Bulb
- From the Nova home screen, select Categories.
- Select Lights.
- Select the bulb you wish to control.
- From this page you can:
- Turn the light on or off.
- Adjust the brightness.
- Change the light colour.
- Select the colour temperature (where supported).
Pinning the Smart Bulb
For quicker access, a light can be pinned to the Nova home screen.
- Open Categories → Lights.
- Select the light you want to pin.
- Press the Pin icon.
- The light will now appear on the Nova home screen for quick access.
