Overview
The CRS is a wireless reed switch used to detect the open or closed state of doors, windows and other moving objects. It communicates using 433 MHz RF and can be grouped with compatible iZone devices through the Nova user interface when paired with a Smart Hub (COCBH).
Installation Guides
Physical Installation
- Remove the reed switch and magnet from the packaging.
- Open the reed switch housing using a small screwdriver in the slots on the top and bottom.
- Remove the PCB and verify the battery isolation tab has been removed.
- Reinstall the PCB and close the housing.
- Using the supplied double-sided tape, mount the reed switch and magnet in the required location.
- Adjust the position of the magnet if required to achieve reliable operation.
Pairing with Nova
- Open the reed switch housing.
- Press and hold the small button on the end of the PCB until the blue LED illuminates.
- From the Nova user interface, navigate to Menu → Devices → Add Device (+) → Sensors → Garage Reed Switch.
- Press Pair.
- The blue LED will flash rapidly to indicate the reed switch is pairing.
- Rename the reed switch to something meaningful, such as Front Door or Garage Door.
- Group the reed switch with the appropriate device if required and test its operation.

Viewing Reed Switch Status
- From the Nova home screen, select Categories.
- Select Sensors.
- Select the reed switch you wish to view.
- From this page you can:
- View whether the sensor is open or closed.
- View the current status of the sensor.
Pinning a Reed Switch
For quicker access, a reed switch can be pinned to the Nova home screen.
- Open Categories → Sensors.
- Select the reed switch you want to pin.
- Press the Pin icon.
- The reed switch will now appear on the Nova home screen for quick access.
